TT+ Audio’s GTX system premiered at Ragnarok Festival in Germany
Lichtenfels, Germany - Ragnarok Festival 2024 brought together several thousand fans to experience an impressive premiere of the new GTX system. The innovative system from TT+ Audio was showcased for the first time in a live production in April together with numerous other loudspeakers from the Italian premium brand.
The Ragnarok Festival, one of the largest pagan and black metal festivals in Europe, featured an impressive lineup with metal giants including Calarook, Perchta, and Vanaheim. Over three days, international artists delivered intense performances after another, facilitated by a dual-stage design that allowed seamless transitions between sets.
TT+ Audio partners Colito Productions managed the technical sound requirements of the event. Andreas Schöpf (Managing Director) and Michael Meister (Technical Director), relied on the new GTX 12 system from TT+ Audio. "We focused on a line array system with highly advanced features because we knew expectations were extremely high,” explained Meister. Compact design, extreme dynamics, and sound clarity were the focus of everyone involved.” The feedback from our guest sound engineers is extremely positive. It was clear that they were very impressed by the performance of the GTX."
The main stage featured two sub-stages, used alternately. Colito Productions deployed three arrays, Left, Center and Right, each consisting of eight GTX 12, with a single horizontal array of 16 GTS 29 on the ground. Five TTR Ampracks fed the system, each containing three XPS 16KD amplifiers. The front fills included eight GTX 10, with two TTL 6-A and RCF SUB 9006-AS as sidefills. TT 22-A II active point source speakers, combined with SUB 9004-AS, provided drum fill monitoring. Additionally, 20 TT 25-CXA active wedges on stage delivered high-powered monitoring for the bands.
"This festival has shown that the GTX 12 line array system is not only a first-class product, but also impressed both the bands,” said Sebastian Hayer, Sales Director Germany. “The GTX system has impressed our technical staff with its dynamics, sound and fast operativity".
